Description

Follow the escape route taken by Butch Cassidy after the Castle Gate Payroll Robbery through the Spectacular San Rafael Swell to Desolation Canyon. This one hour tour (approximately) lets you step back in time to follow the outlaws on their escape. It takes you from Price through the San Rafael Swell and Reef area that the outlaws haunted. You will see the Wedge Overlook, Grand Canyon of the San Rafael, Swinging Bridge, Window Blind Peak, the Upper and Lower Black Box, and the awe inspiring Flat Irons of the San Rafael Reef. From there you will hook up with the Outlaw Trail, see the old railroad grade built by hand, the homesteads from earlier generations, and the ruins from earlier cultures. We will continue following Butch to Florence Creek on Desolation Canyon. This is the homestead of Jim McPherson, the Great Grandfather of the Owner of Tavaputs Ranch. Your pilot will give you a historical, geological and cultural tour that will be the highlight of your year.
